A specially-designed related warrant box or what we call
a "horse-race ranking display", enables subscribers to view
multiple trading attributes (including call/put, gain/loss, top
gains/losses, top volume) of warrants of the same underlying
stock all at one glance. This provides users the ability to
quickly compare and analyze the warrants traded in order of
volume.
Inserting either the code of the underlying stock or
warrant would show up the list of warrants with the underlying
ranked by volume in the related warrant box.
The related warrant code would have suffix c or p to
indicate if it is a call and put warrant, and gray-shaded color
for CBBC (Callable Bull/Bear Contracts). For warrants which
their prices are traded up would be colored green and for those
traded down be colored red and for those price with no change is
colored gray.
Furthermore, if the warrant is among the top 3 gainers
and losers among the related warrants, the warrant code would be
underlined.
Example (underlying : 0005, HSBC)
3977c 4869c 3777c 9011c
3960c 3843c 4930c 4906c
4885c 3807c 4716c 4826p
In above case, 3977c is a HSBC call warrant with highest
volume among the list (top left has the highest and bottom right
the lowest volume) and its warrant price is going up (since it
is colored green). And 3777c is the third highest volume HSBC
call warrant and is also in the top 3 HSBC warrant gainers
(underlined).
3960c is the fourth highest volume call warrant (volume
ranking is from left to right, then top to bottom) with no
change in price (gray color). 4826p, which is a put warrant,
would therefore be of the twelfth highest volume with price
going down.
By viewing the related warrant box, investors will be
able to get an immediate comparison among similar warrants of
the same underlying stock.
Related warrant box in
Index Constituents page
For warrants or CBBC with Hang Seng Index or HSCEI as the
underlying, one can find the related warrant box in the Index
Constituents page bottom left corner. Alternatively one can
enter the code 37401 for Hang Seng Index and 37408 for HSCEI.
Outstanding Market
Volume (OMV)
The Outstanding Market Volume (OMV) of a warrant signal
the participation level of retail investors. The Analyzer
version has added the OMV figures in the warrant teletext page
and are shown a percentage of the total issues.
