Market Wrap: HSI up 361 pts on mainland rate cut rumours; HKMA records loss

Hong Kong's benchmark, the Hang Seng Index was up 360.6 pts or 2.9%, at 12,659.2, turnover was HK$50.4B, up HK$5.8B DOD, while the Hang Seng China Enterprise Index, that tracks H shares, was up 234.1 pts or 3.8% at 6,425. The Shanghai Composite Index was down 14.4 pts or 0.7%, at 1,969.4. NIKKEI 225 Index was up 207.8 pts or 2.7%, at 7,910.8. At 11:15am, overnight HIBOR was 0.236%, up 0.002% points DOD; 3-month HIBOR was 1.95%, down 0.05% points DOD. Read Article
